美國總統歐巴馬贈送簽名照禮物給HTMi
2009年6月12日HTMi瑞士飯店管理大學舉辦第十屆畢業典禮及校慶，美國總統歐巴馬President Obama特地贈送簽名照給HTMi的師生，表揚HTMi畢業生對美國各大飯店工作的貢獻及慶賀畢業典禮與校慶，由美國飯店集團代表Dr Sam和Susan Craig贈送簽名照片，由校長 Mr Larmour代表接受。美國飯店集團代表Dr Sam和Susan Craig說很榮幸替總統將這份大禮轉交給HTMi並替總統傳達幾句話, 總統歐巴馬說：『我肯定你們在業界的成就及努力，也認同你們的做事態度就像我的座右銘一樣YES WE CAN!』

On the occasion of HTMi’s 10th Anniversary in Switzerland, USA President Barak Obama sent a signed photo of himself to be presented to HTMi to say congratulations and in recognition of the many successful internship placements for HTMi students in the USA.
The signed photo was presented by Dr Sam and Susan Craig , HTMi’s USA placement representatives who said “ We are very proud that our dear President Obama, has kindly sent a signed photo to HTMi whose culture is very similar to his own working style, YES WE CAN, so congratulations and well done“

2009年HTMi的畢業頒獎典禮盛大舉行於瑞士蘇黎士的頂級五星級飯店”The Dolder Grand”
2009年6月12日( 週五 )，HTMi飯店管理大學於瑞士蘇黎士的五星級頂級精品飯店The Dolder Grand舉行畢業典禮及頒獎典禮。著名的The Dolder Grand 建於 1899 年，是全世界指標性的頂級五星級大飯店。
本校致力於成為全求頂尖的飯店管理大學，因此在The Dolder Grand飯店舉辦畢業頒獎典禮及十週年校慶對於HTMi來說是最適合不過，HTMi也成為首家飯店管理大學在頂級飯店舉辦畢業典禮的學校，並且本校的傳統是挑選頂級的飯店來慶祝全體學生和所有教職員工的貢獻及努力。
在當日共襄盛舉的人數超過四百多位，包含應屆畢業生、親友團、HTMi 老師、英國 Ulster University 及 Queen Margaret University 代表團、世界各大飯店集團 40 多家飯店代表、盧森省政府代表、各國 Top Representatives 代表…等。
2009年6月份梯次的台灣畢業生，有Certificate、Bachelor Degree 學士畢業生、PGD (Postgraduate Diploma) 畢業生及MBA 畢業生，還有其他在校生及校外參加實習生，目前HTMi已有將近70位台灣畢業生校友，在世界各地擔任重要職位。

The Dolder Grand Hotel is a Leading Hotel of the World and is Switzerland’s top hotel. This is a fitting venue for HTMi Hotel and Tourism Management Institute to celebrate its 10th Anniversary in Switzerland, and to launch many plans to become a leading hotel school in the world. HTMi is the first hotel school to hold its graduation and awards ceremony at the Dolder Grand, and this continues the School’s tradition of always choosing top venues in Switzerland to celebrate student and staff successes.
On 12th June 2009 the event was attended by more than 400 students, parents, staff, international and Swiss hotel company representatives. Swiss Government, school suppliers, and HTMi’s top representatives worldwide. There will be many follow up news releases concerning this milestone in HTMis history.

HTMi受到全球各大飯店集團長期以來的支持
為了要慶祝十週年的畢業頒獎典禮及校慶, HTMi挑選具世界性指標的The Dolder Grand飯店來作為場地，還邀請全球40多家大飯店集團代表出席HTMi畢業典禮，贈予最佳支持獎，以感謝全世界各大飯店集團長久以來支持HTMi學生們、提供他們實習與就業的機會。此外，各大國際飯店除了參加之外，還提供許多獎項來獎勵本校的師生，肯定他們在業界的努力及成果。

精品宿舍裝璜計畫 Boutique Style Student Concept Rooms |
創新的精品概念學生宿舍
在6月12日畢業典禮當天，校方終於揭開規畫已久的學生宿舍整修計畫，HTMi 目前正在新裝璜所有宿舍改裝成精品宿舍 Boutique Style Student Concept Rooms，有衛浴、電視、冰箱、 Apple 支援無線上網系統 . 預計 16-18 個月完成2 間飯店學校 Hotel Campus 所有宿舍裝璜 。此計畫稱作『創新精品概念學生宿舍』，此概念宿舍提供獨特且現代化及有朝氣的生活環境，同時結合科技和讀書環境空間的設計給每位學生。宿舍內有高速頻寬光學電纜－無線網路系統及與Apple公司合作的IPOD Touch使用，學生可藉由方便的網路系統放鬆，也不用孤單一人的準備分組報告，這些方便的網路系統都可以幫你達成，此外每個房間還有SKYPE電話系統。此次的宿舍設計概念圍繞著兩個主題“ Orange Blossom” 和"Shades of Lemon and Lime”，在2009年的七月份和八月份20間的新宿舍將會更新測試完成，這項宿舍更新計畫將在2010年底全部更新完畢。HTMi的目標就是要提供學生一個良好舒適且創新便利的生活環境。 |

HTMI成立餐旅研究中心R & D與美國Apple電腦公司合作教學系統
在畢業典禮及十週年慶上,HTMi宣佈, 首創研究和發展部門中心Research & Development Centre與知名美國電腦品牌Apple公司結合，攜手合作飯店管理教學、訓練課程及校內網路系統（HTMi R & D centre for Apple iPhone Touch, iTounes U , In Hospitality Management & Training, operations.）未來在校園的每位學生都有機會使用到免費提供的掌上型Apple IPOD Touch, 可連接到校方由Sisco 和Apple servers所提供的高頻寬無線網路系統。目前 HTMi 是歐洲第一家與Apple公司合作網路教學系統的飯店管理大學，當然對於Apple公司也是他首次與飯店學校合作。HTMi大筆投資與科技業合作的目的是為了要提供HTMi的師生們有良好的學習設備，此強大的網路系統可直接連結至Apple公司，裡面有許多免費的軟體可供使用，例如：email, SKYPE telephone calling ( throughout the entire Campus), “Safari” internet search engine, translation software, train timetables, telephone directories, time planners, notes, school timetables, notice boards,等….。當然Apple公司機型的完美設計適合放在口袋方便收藏。此產品裡還有其他音樂及其他遊戲等軟體。HTMi預知科技業和飯店經營、教育訓練及操作經營的結合有無窮潛力，因而於今年起致力於發展研究中心來研發更多與科技業合作之計畫。在畢業典禮當日，瑞士Apple公司的負責人Frank Biernet說：『我們很榮幸與HTMi合作，雙方的觀念都相當創新及有遠見，很期待彼此之後的合作！』
HTMi Establishes Hospitality Research and Development Centre for Apple IPOD Touch Technology
On the occasion of HTMi’s 10th Anniversary in Switzerland, HTMi announced its ground breaking plan to become a research and development centre for Apple IPOD touch technology. On the HTMi Campus, students and staff will be given free of charge a handheld Apple IPOD Touch which is linked to the super- strength wireless internet system at HTM, which has high bandwidth optical cable access supported by Sisco and Apple servers
The result of this large investment in technology gives all students and staff at HTMi a handheld link to a powerful wireless internet system directly accessed into Apples thousands of useful applications including free push email, SKYPE telephone calling ( throughout the entire Campus), “Safari” internet search engine, translation software, train timetables, telephone directories, time planners, notes, school timetables, notice boards, and much more……. and all at the touch of beautifully designed Apple device which fits in the pocket and the palm of the hand. Of course there are plenty of music and other entertainment software available on the device too. ?HTMi saw the potential of this technology for use in hospitality life, education, training and operations, and HTMi becomes now a research and development centre to determine and develop many innovative uses of this Apple I Touch Technology. ?HTMi is the first hotel school in Europe to establish this project, and indeed its strategy for Apple I Touch is a first for any hotel school. |

體行前說明會, 地點: 台北福華飯店4樓406大型會議室, 協助新生行前準備行李及就讀經驗分享, 回答問題.
Mr. Eugene Liao (就讀PGD +MBA) 2009年6月畢業生校友非常優秀校友.
Ms.Linda Chen (就讀PGD) 目前在校(Training for Trainers) 協助老師及學生行政作HTMi 2009 年6月榮獲2項awards 1. Excellent Professional Attitude ＆ Behavior Award 2. Service Championship Winner. 2009年8月份獲選TT 助理學校行政, 所以今年8月新生可以提早在新生團體行前說明會見到她.
新生反應熱烈, 提出許多學校注意事項規訂及行李準備問題, 2位校友及學生也非常熱心回答， 互動非常好. 幫助新生許多, 我們非常感謝Eugene 及Linda的協助. |
