專業主廚Blumenthal先生的米其林三星餐廳錄用HTMi優秀畢業生

Ian Larmour, Director, HTMi writes “On behalf of HTMi. we would like to thank Master Chef Heston Blumenthal, and owner of the three Michelin Star restaurant, The Fat Duck, UK, for choosing one of our top graduates Alexander Rogin, to do a one year’s food and beverage training in The Fat Duck. We would also like to congratulate Alexander Rogin for being chosen amongst many excellent candidates for this highly valued training opportunity. This is also a credit to the quality of the HTMi Management Training Programme which is a part of the courses at HTMi”

The announcement was made at the Marriott Zurich, and Alexander is pictured receiving his award for this from David Hailstones, Director of Operations, HTMi.

Mr Zsolt Siket, Manager Centre For Career Management at HTMi, explained that the Michelin Star is awarded by the Michelin Red Guide, the oldest and best-known Hotel and Restaurant guide. A three-star Michelin ranking is exceedingly rare. Out of millions of restaurants around the world, there are only 81 restaurants in the world who have the prestigious three star award. In the last 7 years, The Fat Duck, has been consecutively voted in the top 3 of the San Pellegrino’s Worlds best restaurants list.

Heston Blumenthal is a master chef and owner of The Fat Duck, a three Michelin Star restaurant in the UK, voted Best Restaurant in the UK by The Good Food Guide in 2007 and 2009, and voted best restaurant in the world by Restaurant magazine in 2005. His restaurant has been a perennial runner-up in the Ferran Adaria of E! Bull in the world rankings, achieving 2nd place in 2009 and 3rd in 2010. In 2010, Mr Blumenthal is famous for his scientific approach and has been described as a culinary alchemist for his innovative style of cooking. Mr Blumenthal signed a two-year deal with UK TV Channel 4 in March 2008, joining the channel’s roster of celebrity chefs which already included Jamie Oliver, Hugh Feamley Whittingstail and Gordon Ramsay, Mr Blumenthal is also a renowned author of many books on cooking.
